 This October the 'Grand Guignol' will be reborn in the UK.
For 5 nights only the Old Fire Station theatre in Oxford, England will play host to 4 new translations of Grand Guignol classics and 1 new drama written in the gruesome old tradition of the old Paris theatre.
An ensemble of ten young performers will recreate the Grand Guignol for the 21st century, offering the following plays for your delectation:-
A Goodnight Kiss
The Ultimate Torture
The Guillotine
Crime in a Madhouse
The Canister (new writing)
This production has been created in consultation with Grand Guignol expert Dr. Richard Hand (author of seminal text 'Grand Guignol - The French Theatre of Horror') over an extensive period of research and rehearsal.
